The Ferndale Community Garden is located south of Pioneer Park near the baseball fields and Star Park. Residents from the greater Ferndale community can rent plots for a low cost and grow their own food. There are 25 garden plots and 10 Hoop house plots for rent to individuals and families. Gardeners form a community that works, learns, and grows together. A special area of the Garden, called the First Fruits Garden, is dedicated to growing food for the Ferndale Food Bank.
Plots rent for $20 for the season plus a $10 refundable cleaning deposit. Scholarships are available for those who need assistance with the cost.
Our garden season is April 1st-September 30th. The Garden Coordinator communicates with returning and new gardeners in March each year, to get plots assigned. Our limited number of plots are in high demand, so email early to be added to our waiting list.
