Community Advisory Committee
What is the Community Advisory Committee?
FCS’s Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a non-binding advisory body that provides strategic guidance, feedback, and recommendations to FCS. Its primary goal is to ensure that our programs and services effectively meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. By creating a forum for community input, the CAC helps ensure that all initiatives are relevant, beneficial, and aligned with community interests.
The CAC meets three times annually and discusses a variety of topics related to FCS’s programming and community needs.
We are currently recruiting members for our team! Lived experience, community connectedness, and a desire to serve others are key things we look for in CAC members. To qualify, potential members must live or work in North Whatcom County, be able to attend the quarterly meetings (dates available on the application), and have a strong desire to support FCS and its programs.
